I had my third practice this week and I think I am finally getting there in terms of learning how to become a DJ.
DJing is quite hard to pick up when you are an absolute newbie like me but it is a teachable skill.
I also got my press shots this week.
Unfortunately, I look really fat in these photos and so I have decided to slow down on the updates for this column in order to work on my look before my maiden showcase in Sydney next month.
Musically, I am going to be known as DJ YayaEzzy after my plush toy brand Yaya and Friends.
I also got a parking fine this week for placing my car at a wrong spot during my practice session.
The damage for that mishap cost me AU$120.
But the good news is, I finally got a date for my upcoming showcase and I am confirmed to be playing at the Home The Venue on Sunday (Oct 23) at an unknown time but you are welcome to come over to watch all of us novice DJs battling it out from 11am till 11pm on Oct 22 and 23.
Tickets are $30 each and you can get them here.
Once you are there, be sure to check my showcase and everyone else’s out as well.
I am not inviting anyone to my showcase and would perform there completely as a solo performer so it would be nice if I could connect with some of DailyStraits.com readers there at the venue.
Till my next update, be well.
